Description

The Marketing Coordinator is responsible for working closely with the Company’s Marketing Director to ensure all marketing plans are completed in good time and within budget. He/she will maintain close working relationships with all Division Heads, Business Unit Managers and their employees to ensure their marketing needs are met.. He/she will ensure that the Company’s image and brands are projected professionally and upholds the Company’s Mission Statement of ‘best practices’ in all areas of its business interests. He/she will market products by developing and implementing marketing and advertising campaigns, using all forms of media (including Social Media); tracking sales data; maintain promotional materials’ inventory; planning meetings and events; tracking number of Social Media Followers and sales data; maintaining databases of vendors, suppliers, publications; and preparing reports as required by the Director of Marketing.

Responsibilities

  1. Works closely with the Director of Marketing, he/she implements marketing and advertising campaigns by assembling and analyzing marketing requests provided by the Company’s Division Heads and Business Unit Managers.
  2. Plans and organizes promotional presentations and preparing an Annual Marketing Plan for every Division, by November of each year, for the following year.
  3. Distributes Annual Marketing Plan to all Division Heads/Business Unit Managers.
  4. Prepares marketing and advertising strategies, plans, and objectives, in line with the Annual Marketing Plan.
  5. Ensures Division Heads and Business Unit Managers are kept updated of any amendments to their Marketing calendars.
  6. Maintains up-to-date Media Booking Sheet for the Company’s Divisions.
  7. Opens a new File for each Marketing Campaign – ensuring everything related to the campaign is filed for easy reference purposes. To include: Marketing Action Plan, Marketing Budget, samples of campaign elements (e.g. menus, giveaways, flyers etc.) and copies of advertisements.
  8. Prepares a Monthly Company Marketing Activities’ File for all Division Heads and Business Units. It will contain MIS detailing the month’s marketing activities, broken down by Business Unit/Division and all related activities. All forecasted budgets, implementation dates to be included. It will also contain an MIS showing the number of times and where any Company Business Unit was mentioned in
  9. Prepares a Monthly Share of Voice (Social Media) MIS. This will show details of the Company’s Social Media results (followers) across its Business Units, as compared to the Business Unit’s competitors. It will show any incline/decline in numbers and will include details of the remedial action being taken to correct any negative figures.
  10. Prepares Marketing Action Plan for each Division – showing the Start-date, End-Date and Marketing material being used for each activity.
  11. Prepares Monthly Action Plan for each event – to include Start-Date, End-Date, Marketing Material to be used, Dates Material to be Completed, Date Material sent to Business Units/Published, and who is responsible for each action.
  12. Keeps promotional materials ready by coordinating requirements with graphics department; inventorying stock; placing orders; verifying receipt.
  13. Supports the Marketing Director by researching data, market trends, forecasts, new product information and relaying customer services requests.
  14. Researches competitive products by identifying and evaluating product characteristics, market share, pricing, and advertising; maintaining research databases.
  15. Plans meetings and trade shows (when applicable) by identifying, assembling, and coordinating requirements; establishing contacts; developing schedules and assignments; coordinating mailing lists.
  16. Monitors budgets by comparing and analyzing actual results with plans and forecasts.
  17. Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading trade publications.
  18. Accomplishes organization goals by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests; exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments.
  19. Travel as required by the Company.
  20. Any other duties as assigned by the Director of Marketing.

An ideal candidate would be

  1. Marketing Degree
  2. At least 2 years’ experience as Marketing Coordinator
  3. Able to be work independently and as part of a team.
  4. Excellent planning and organizational skills
  5. Ability to improve processes
  6. Excellent Computer Skills – including Excel
  7. Aware of all Marketing Tools – POS etc
  8. Financial Skills – i.e. MIS reports
  9. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  10. Excellent English – written and spoken.
  11. Arabic – Written and spoken – would be an added advantage
  12. Must be self-motivated and detail orientated.
  13. Able to prioritize – meet deadlines.
