When looking for ideal people who fit in our team, we look for candidates who have a strong work ethic. As our work involves advocacy of survivors of abuse, anyone joining the team must be dependable and responsible, and must be aligned with the values and messages Shamsaha represents. We are all team players, and anyone going us should be able to support not only the team they work with, but also our clients and advocates.
Our team culture is very client-centric. The kind of work we do involves communicating with clients, and advocates, and requires conflict resolution, problem solving, and stress and pressure management.
Sometimes the kind of work we do and the cases we deal may get little heavy on our team members and advocates and for that reason, we have ensure continual counseling and emotional support is available to the team members, in addition to maintaining a positive and nurturing environment so that every member feels at ease. We also organize quarterly team building activities, as well as engagement events to foster a sense of belonging within the team.
