Description

The human resources (HR) clerk is responsible for assisting the HR department with employee hiring, administrative duties, and clerical duties. They are in charge of maintaining HR records and documentation, creating and distributing HR procedures, completing data entry tasks, and answering HR phone calls and emails. Additionally, the HR clerk is responsible for daily administrative tasks of the HR department including filing, faxing, copying, and organizing departmental files.

Responsibilities

  1. Filling staff related Documents
  2. Process the probationary periods
  3. Prepare certificates (Salary, Employment, Experience, Bank)
  4. Keep a track of leaves of employees such as Public Holiday, Cancelled Offs and Sick Leaves
  5. Compiles, files, and maintains employment, enrolment, pay change, informational and other confidential forms and records
  6. Coordinates and supports with orientation efforts
  7. Ensures that all items on the HR Audit are maintained
  8. Performs general administrative functions including associate file maintenance, legal compliance logs, and maintenance/distribution of policy and procedure manual

An ideal candidate would be

  1. Requires High school diploma or general education development (GED) diploma
  2. Requires knowledge of word processing, spreadsheet and data base software
  3. Demonstrates the ability to interact with the public and coworkers in a friendly, enthusiastic and outgoing manner
  4. Requires basic keyboarding or other repetitive motions
  5. Requires the ability to speak, read and comprehend instructions, short correspondence and policy documents, as well as converse comfortably with customers
