The General Manager’s primary responsibility should be to ensure organisational effectiveness while providing leadership to the organisation’s principal functions and all staff. These functions include staff recruitment, risk management, quality control, scheduling, sales, and marketing.
The General Manager should be professional, committed to the new business, and personable toward all staff and guests. The position is full-time, year-round and the hours of work should vary.
Overseeing the market plan and budget
Overseeing the staff rota, training, and development
Scheduling all Adventure Cube maintenance and inspections
Supervising all risk management processes
Reviewing reservations and admissions process
General administrative responsibilities (email, voicemail, reporting, etc)
Problem solving and guest service training
Financial responsibility for the company performance
Recruiting and training Monitors and other staff
Planning and implementing special events such as birthdays/corporate events
Managing an adventure recreation business
Utilising strong computer skills
Maintaining high customer service standards
Evaluating and improving the entire guest experience
Growing revenue of the existing product offerings
Working in a fast paced environment
Utilising professional communications skills at all times
Implementing changes to improve the Adventure Tower operations
Recruiting, developing, and managing team members
Experience with safety standards and work at height

To confirm staff competency, they must complete and pass a written and practical test on all site specific curriculum and training modules.

Candidates must be over 18 years old or determined by the local government as appropriate.
Prior experience with outdoor recreation, athletics, educational roles, high ropes instructor experience, Caving, or climbing is a plus.
Candidates should have the physical capability to assist and accommodate guests of various sizes throughout the Adventure Cube, including rescues.
The ability to hike, climb, and rappel to and from height
Full range of overhead arm motions and full hand dexterity
Strong upper body to pull self and the potential addition of 270 pounds (122 kg) more along each cable or out of the cave
